Foodbank
Sometimes the girl who is always been for everyone else needs someone to be there for her
Sometimes the girl who is always strong for everyone else needs someone to be strong for her
Sometimes the girl who always smile needs someone to tell her that she should stop smiling and just cry
Greetings! :)
Just had dinner and got back from a long full day of class! as usual, Thursday my hectic day in uni. After complaining of how boring and how disappointed I was on my units for this semester, I decided to change my mind set and to go in each and every class with a positive mind. So, I did that last week. I went into each class with a smile in my heart and I told myself that since Im already here, why not try to make it interesting? or at least try to keep myself awake? So i made myself write and jot down lots of stuffs ! and my my my my! i felt that time past soooooo FAST! i was like, WOW! then i told my friends that i actually dont find it that bad and i felt time past super fast, and they say i sot sot d and they were yawning! hahaha! My friend asked how come I so positive? haha! i just laughed and said that im making my life easier and happier!
Complaining does helps you release all the emotions trapped within yourself but only you, only you can change how you want to view things and is your will to change things for the better. Its not completely wrong to complain. I dont view it that way. To me, i see it more to expressing what you feel and setting yourself free from what is holding you back. Through expressing ourselves, we get to know ourselves a little better each time. Do you really know yourself one hundred percent? I dont think I know myself fully, there is so many more areas I would like to explore and see how I would react to new things :)
One thing i really learnt was adaptation. In life, we need to learn to adapt. The faster we learn to adapt to new environment, new changes, new concepts, new surroundings, new people, new world, then we can see the beauty of changes. Not all changes are bad, it strongly depends on how we view it. Be like an iguana! it changes colour super fast! i wanna be like one! HEHEHE :)
Dont you see how interesting life can be? Each day is like a whole new chapter, a lesson that you can learn, a precaution for the future, a stepping stone to what and where you want to go.
Ok! now to the interesting bit! :) Yesterday ( 3rd August, Tuesday) was my first time joining the Curtin Volunteer! We went to Foodbank, its like a factory that keeps all the frozen food, canned food, toiletries, and all kinds of food from Woolworths, Coles and other supermarkets! All these supermarkets will donate a big bunch of food to Foodbank. So what Foodback does is packaging all the food and sell it to the needy or homeless at a very very very cheap price.
The Foodbank cool beings! :)
This is how it looks like inside !
These are the frozen food!
So we packed like a big packet of chips, packet of peas, 4 packs of ham, chicken, beef, and lots more in one big bag! and one bag is only sold for 85 cents!
It was so cold!! the food were icy icy icy cold! haha! it was fun! :) I was like trying to fit more food in one bag! hahaha! be more generous :) We packed about 200 packs in an hour! WOHOOOO!!!
we were given the yellow Foodbank vest :)
Thats one bag there! and thats the machine we use to seal the bag :)
Got back to uni about 3pm and had our lunch! We were given free BBQ :) yums!
i wear my hoodie like how a hoodie should be worn! *i dont make sense sometimes* :)
hahaha! its been raining and raining and raining and raining here! winter! moody weather. After having BBQ in uni, i stopped by Southlands on the way home to do some grocery shopping!
A bag full of foooooooooooooood! in winter, we need more food supply! HAHAHAH! :) blame winter :P
When you smile, the whole world stop and stares for a while :)
p/s : My little mini project is just random! i just thought instead of always just saying smillesss at the end of my each post, I will take photo something related to smiley and post it up! :)
